Hadley Jamison doesn't know what to think when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, committed suicide. She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.

"Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice." Robert Frost I know that's a poem from the beginning of one of the books in the Twilight saga, which was a phase that most of us went through. When I read the poem it really made me think. How would the world end? In which way would it? I never thought the world would end the way it did. It didn't necessarily end in Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Volcanoes erupting or a giant meteor hitting the earth, certainly not the Illuminati like everyone feared. My name is Lauren, and I'm just an average teenage girl, who survived. When I joked around with my friends about the zombie apocalypse and how I was always prepared, I never actually expected that such thing like a zombie apocalypse would ever happen, certainly not in my life time. But I was wrong. We all were. This is the story of how i survived as long as i did.

It was pity that first made Dannie speak to him. She had known Ryan since she was a kid, but he had always been the popular Golden Boy, and she had always been the tomboy that didn’t mind not having any friends. It was odd, she had thought, that all the popular kids who had once kissed the ground he walked on, didn’t so much spared him a glance anymore, and it was this that made her sit with him that one faithful day and begin something that would only end up causing her pain.
