Compton changed everything. In Riverdale, I used to be able to walk outside at night without having to worry about anything happening to me. I could walk outside in broad daylight and wouldn't have to worry about drive-by's. I used to be able to come home and be able to rely on a homemade meal made by mother-and my father sitting on the couch with her. But now, everything's changed. My dad dipped out on me and my mom, my mom and I are struggling to make ends meet, and I'm in these streets. Never would I imagined that myself, Egypt, would be out on the streets selling drugs to support myself. But if it helps me support me and my mother, I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Now I have responsibilities that I would've never expected, and people depend on me more than ever before. © all rights reserved // livythecreator

Growing up motherless wasn't always what the 18-year-old Tanya Moore would've dreamt of. Life had a funny way of doing things ya know? It was bad enough she only got to spend the first quarter of her life with her mother before she lost her to stupid cancer. The only time they got to hang out was Saturday and Sunday before and after Church. She was always at home with her father, he wasn't always so bad, he was a great man, a great husband, and a loving father.. he was a retired war veteran and did nothing but collect his checks and would occasionally do favors for old friends. Stacy Moore was a high school teacher and all the kids in the neighborhood loved her. She was always so sweet and would sing to her class if they did well. A loving mother, wonderful wife, amazing daughter, a great friend, but when the good Lord calls, there is simply nothing we can do about it. As much as we may try, God always has the final say, it may be a bad way to turn things out, but remember things happen for a reason and God never makes mistakes. Once she passed away after battling cancer for three years, things changed.. for the worst, and poor sweet little Tanya was caught in the crossfire of it all. We're all afraid of something or someone, we all get tired, we all get fed up with the same old routine, but the question is, how much is enough? When is it simply too much? When should you begin to fight back or run? How long should you sit there and let the only person that you once loved and looked up to continue to misuse and abuse you? Tell me something, if you had a chance to get help would you run and never look back?

You can take the man out the hood, but you can't take the hood out the man. Every time we're trying to do better for ourselves, there's always something or someone out there ready to bring us back to our old bad habits. Isn't it funny when you're constantly trying to do good by people there's always Satan and his minions in the corner plotting and preying on your downfall? In this case, just how much can a person take when they're trying to do better but a certain group just won't let them? You see people don't ever speak up when you're silent while being picked on, they call you weak for not going back and forth. But when enough is enough and you finally fight back then they criticize and jump down your throat. Like Nicki said "They paint me out to be the bad guy," You can't keep poking a bear and not expect for it to bite back, that's like robbing a bank and thinking the police will just let you go. Every dog has their day... right? ©️2018 _jasthewriter I do not own the photos or videos, this story is fiction and came strictly from my thoughts.
