Wanda is in shock. His mind is ripped apart from hers like glue. She grabs her head in her hands, trying to contain a scream. "Tony, what the hell happened?" Tony gazes at the empty spot where Pietro was. His eyes are empty; shock makes him stumble. "I-I don't know." · ~ · ~ · ~ · ~ · In an attempt to bring Pietro Maximoff back to life, Tony Stark and Helen Cho create a machine that vibrates Quicksilver's naturally vibrating molecules at a level that raises his brain activity. Wanda Maximoff uses her magical powers to get inside his head to coax him back to the world of the living. Instead of bringing Pietro back, the machine sends his body and mind to an alternate reality, where the Avengers are in comics and movies, and Quicksilver himself is no more than a famed character among nerds.
