Based on the hit broadway musical NEWSIES. The infamous Delancey brothers were more than brass knuckles and cold eyes. There was a story behind every scar and bitter word spoken. Nobody ever cared enough to find out their story, until now. It's a story of love and hate, good and evil, and about the struggle between who they are and who they want to be.

After Crutchie has a near-death experience, and wakes up from a brief coma, he becomes very protective over his girlfriend, Spritz. ••• Little does he know, the strike is still raging on, and the newsies of Manhattan will not give up their innocence without a fight. ••• More Crutzie, and a few new characters! In the original movie and musical, Crutchie is taken to the refuge and isn't seen much until the end. Yes, this is another one of those stories. He's taken to the refuge, meets a girl, blah blah blah most predictable plot ever. I'll try to make it interesting.

modern AU Crutchie/race

Annie "Raider" Morris is known around New York as weak. Like her brother, she too is on a crutch. Annie has never had an easy life, but she loves every second of it. When an attack happens and she goes to the refuge, the rest of the newsies do everything in their power to save her. But with the strike at the same time, will they be able to do both?

After Crutchie manages to severly hurt his Crutching arm, he is restricted to a wheelchair. The Delancys see this and decide to take advantage of him. Will Crutchie survive? Or will death do its part on someone else? Seriously. This story has so much happening in it. Just read the first chapter and decide if you wanna get your heart broken or not.
