In the third book of the Winter Soldier series we find Lark on the mend, which Bucky by her side. As he promised. Regaining strength and finding out who she really is. But now, she must adapt to the new ways of life for her. Facing more challenges with the Aether and more challenges with her relationship with Bucky. With more secrets to come and more promises to be broken Lark will face one of the hardest things she's ever had to. Bucky will fade out, lost and feeling alone as he once was. But Lark will resurface him, right? But when a catastrophe changes everyone's lives, only one will make a difference, only one will save the lives of hundreds and only two will make a decision that could cost them everything.

Confused, the Winter Soldier, aka Bucky, wonders around the streets of New York. He can't go back to HYDRA, they would wipe his memory again. And he wants to remember. He want's to remember who Steve was, the man that he was ordered to kill but was also claimed to be his best friend. He somehow stumbles into a woman's apartment named Amelia, looking for medical help, and for some reason, Amelia decides to help him. As she finds out more about him, she decides to teach him how to live like a human in the 21st century and also helps him to remember his past. But disaster strikes as HYDRA finds Bucky, and when they try to find Steve they also find out that unfortunately he has been kidnapped by HYDRA too. And so their first mission begins. In this sequel of the Winter Soldier Book One, we find Bucky just days later searching. The city is in ruins, collapsing at the hands of Hydra. People flee from the streets, hiding out in alleys or trying to escape through tunnels. But now with new knowledge of the leader of Hydra and his motive S.H.I.E.L.D. begins in devising a plan to save not only the people of New York City but the people in the dark around the world. With Lark now in an unstable state, Bucky has no choice but to move on with life on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s side, fighting Hydra soldiers and digging up secrets to over throw them. But Bucky's not willing to just give up on Lark or turn his back away. He keeps his promises and keeps to his word. Even when his memories are vague and trust comes at a high price.

With Lark's biggest secret revealed to almost all and Hydra still seeking out the Winter Soldier and Lark, time is running out. The Aether will spread, it will fade, taking something with it. Bucky knows now what he must do to save her life, he knows what to do to save himself and everyone else. But in the end will it all be worth it? Will he have gained anything. Alexander still stretches to claim as many lives to Hydra as he can before his rein can end. But will it ever? It seemed like it was would stand strong for the better part of eternity. Set after Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Bucky is lost, without a purpose and brainwashed within an inch of his life. S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra have both fallen and without anyone to stop him, Bucky intends to find out who he is - or who he was - before Hydra took away every last inch of him. Steve is left recovering from the catastrophe, but knows that Bucky is still out there, and that Bucky needs his help. Steve will do everything in his power to help his best friend find out who he is again. How far would you go to help your friend recover their mind? How long would you try for? Steve knows it isn't going to be easy, and wants to set Bucky on the road to recovery; but confusion and nostalgia hides around every corner. If Bucky is to find himself once again, Steve is going to have to face some hard truths about how he lost his friend and see him through every step of the way as he recovers, seeing him through the good times, and the bad. They might soon realise that the question "Who am I?" carries so much more than a name and a face.

News of Hydra's infiltration spread through the headlines like a virus, reaching even the most remote of places. The Winter Soldier will stop at nothing to find out the truth, who he was and save the life of the stranger.

Samantha Miller is an aspiring actress. Her dreams are simple: work for Marvel, get a nice apartment, get her parents something nice for Christmas. Maybe get a dog. Meeting Sebastian Stan wasn't on this list, but she didn't really mind. It was a bonus, really. ~ Author's Note: This is aiming for fluffy, not really any drama or major plot twists here.
