The Number Series (A Dystopian Society) Second book to 4522. "She's gone." I spat blood from my mouth. "And I'm going to get her back." "Don't tell me," Quinn shook her head. "You're going to pretend you're one of them." I looked into her dark eyes. "I have to save her." I put the red mask on my face and dawned the uniform of the PC&T: Population Control and Traders. I vowed to do more than just bring my sister home; I would bring down the chaotic world I lived in and would create a place where she would always be safe.

WARNING: CONTAINING EVEN MORE SASS THAN THE LAST BOOK. IF YOU ARE EASILY BUTTHURT, DO NOT READ. TRIGGER WARNING: Containing mentions of depression and related topics. If you don't feel comfortable reading this material, don't. So, this time, we're not in New York City. Well, kinda. We're on two opposite ends of the country, if that makes any sense at all. San Fransisco and New York City. Nice cities, huh? For all you people who liked the last thing I wrote, this is for you. The story just couldn't end with one book, we all know that. Anyways, this one is a bit different, so I hope you like it. Now we have two people, on opposite ends of the country, both searching for answers in the wake of a tragedy. Did that sound cliche enough? I hope so. Anyways, our two ever so lovely heroes are a bit messed up, but then again, so am I as I tell there story to you. Let me tell you, it's not all pink and rainbows, I hate pink. Strictly a black kinda girl. What happens when the mask comes off, and what's under neath is revealed? Sorry, that sounded perverted. I didn't mean for it to sound that way. Just, what happens in the aftermath of what people discovering who they are?act So, now our heroes must deal with people trying to kill them, and tasks more difficult than the ones at the Triwizard Tournament, all while fighting these without each other. So many questions, so little time to answer them all. They will be answered, I'm just not going to say when. Buckle your seatbelt, use the bathroom, and don't get off guys. I'm going to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and plot points. I hope you enjoy, and those who got the references, pat on the back. Fangirl out.

**shortlisted for Wattys2017** Technically speaking, I died when I was seventeen. What should have been just another typical day out on the water with my friends, turned ugly fast when a freak storm came out of nowhere and I was thrown overboard. Had it not been for my damned dress, I could have swam to safety, but no, every day had to be a fashion show, and my dress got caught on rocks, holding me down until I drowned. I thought right before I died I would at least get to see a montage of my fabulous life, all the parties and romantic dates with my perfect boyfriend, Asher, but nope again. Instead, all I saw was a hideous sea monster smiling to me as my lungs filled with water. When I woke up in a cave in the middle of the ocean, that sea witch made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I could go back to my perfect life, and my adorable boyfriend, all I had to do was give the sea witch two years of my service, and then she'd free me from my fate. It seemed easy enough at the time, but can the price to live actually come at too high of a cost? Highest rank #5 in paranormal

"Gotcha." I laughed catching him by surprise. He joined in the laughter and carried me off the ground bridal style and spinning me around. I screamed in delight the sound of my laughter echoing round the beach. He put me down and looked at me as he held me by my waist. His blue eyes as pretty as ever and that boyish grin of his that always made me smile. "Thanks a lot for this Vince. I really needed a break from all the training stress and all." "You really mean that?" he asked his smile reaching his eyes. I nodded biting my lower lip. "I love you Vincent." "Did you just say...?" I nodded with a smile. "You heard me right." He pulled me closer his lips brushing mine so faintly before they met. I was sure there were unicorns and rainbows around us that moment. The kiss was warm and sweet and everything I dreamed it would be. He broke the kiss first and hugged me lifting me up and spinning me around while I held unto his neck laughing. ______________________________________________ Dawn gets pulled into a world she never knew existed after her mother's disappearance. Assisted by friends she meets along the way, she ventures deeper into the world and learns about who she really is as she tries to save her mother and her newly-found world.
