Kali Dubois wants nothing more than to finish her last year of high school, move to the city, get into journalism and get out of the ho-hum suburbia that is Milbury, Connecticut. Kali is quite average in many senses of the word, but there's something that sets her apart from her peers; her ability to rewind time. It's nothing extraordinary, though. She couldn't go back to the ancient Egyptians or the dawn of humanity or the Holocaust, preventing massive destruction of mankind from happening. She cannot go forward either. She is no superhero. But she can go back a few seconds, minutes, sometimes even an hour or two if she tries hard enough, which is a power alone within itself. She's always taken her gift for granted, as she's had it for as long as she could remember, but she starts to see some real uses of her ability after experiencing the biggest shock of her life. Last Friday night, Olivia Johnson, a selfless 18 year old senior at Silva High School is brutally murdered on her way home from her homecoming dance. Kali is determined to figured who killed Olivia and why she was killed. As Kali starts to unfold the case, she starts to see a new side of her power, and sides of her peers that she has never seen before. Will Kali be able to solve Olivia's case, or will the murderer get her before she knows too much?

Harold Black is a beautiful mixture of darkness, hatred, and elatedness. An odd combination, but perfect for hard-shelled Elle Thornton. Harry has spent his summer in Manhattan with Elle and her egocentric, multi-millionaire uncle, shopping carelessly with the money that Elle extorts from people. Cody Sinclair, an overly-cynical wannabe emo boy stereotype has had his eye on the cute cashier at Hirsch Vinyl, Aleksandra Perry, the nyctophilic self harmer. Cara Magorian is a waitress at Janice's Inn and Diner, a lanky adopted girl of two loving Armenian fathers. She works with Trevor Moreno-Robertson, (who prefers "Trevor Robertson") an abnormally tall motel front desk worker who is an "all American" boy on the outside, but on the inside is fighting to find who he really is. What will happen when these 6 different personalities come together in the land of prepubescent temptation known as the Stameković High School class of '16?
