A simple, complicated, love-hate feud: that's what Thranduil and Idriel's relationship can be described as. They can't even look at each other without a scowl. That is, until Idriel's realm is in danger of disappearing and Thranduil is the only one who could possibly help her.

Ercassiel a young foreign princess and is the youngest of her siblings being the only girl in a household of two brothers her mother thought it best to go to their ally, King Oropher to ask him to raise her because Ercassiels mother did not want her to grow up and be killed in a war for the throne. Ercassiel watched as her mother was murdered right before her eyes. Oropher could do nothing to save her, but Ercassiel being so young couldn't stand it she wanted to help, but only took a sword to the back and discovered another reason why her mother didnt want her to get involved in a war between blood. Only to find out her second oldest brother became ill and died after her and her mother left for middle earth with her father as well which left the oldest brother to ascend to the throne. She stayed in Mirkwood never wanting to leave for her and Thranduil became best friends and watched each others back. She even stayed by him when he married. The queen so violently turned on him and their child Legolas leaving Thranduil wifeless and Legolas motherless, but Thranduil knew his son was not truly motherless for Ercassiel was there for him she always would be and Legolas was closer with her than he was his own mother.

Caladhiel had been born in the Northern Mountains of Middle Earth. She'd always been hot headed, passionate and brave. Her father was the leader of their clan and they were the elves that protected the North. On a faithful battle her home was destroyed by the Orcs and she was the only surviver of her clan. She was found by Galadriel, almost dying and she took her under her care and protection. Caladhiel was moved to Rivendell and was put under Elrond's care, he taught her how to behave in court, how to address herself to nobles and most important of all how to be a proper lady suitable for marriage. Causing far too much trouble for Elrond in Rivendell the young elven princess of the North is moved to Mirkwood in order to be taught how to behave and leave her warrior ways behind. Caladhiel hates being told what to do but as soon as her eyes catch the Elven King's her world is about to be turned upside down.

For thousands of year, since The First Age, Faeryn never left king Thranduil's side. She was his healer, his greatest and only friend. She had seen many, but felt much more how time changes a person, how it changed Thranduil. And so, she wouldn't leave him, not for a thousand years, not even for a million. She would stay, like what she had promised the king. Healing a broken heart wouldn't be easy. Healing the Elven King's broken heart was easier said than done. But Faeryn was the best healer of Woodland Realm after all. Is there anything she cannot do?

Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood. Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well. Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart. 12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement. That being said, this story will change starting today probably and if you're in the middle of it, hopefully I don't confuse details or timelines for you. If you've already read it once and just felt like you had to read it again, maybe it will provide some new enjoyment. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually finish some other stuff I have on here.

The Great Greenwood used to be a merry place filled with parties you'll never forget and people you'll always remember. King Thranduil and his lovely wife Queen Elodiel ruled the land with their kin dancing until the ends of the forest even the beautiful elven path that leads to their kingdom was filled with much beauty. but now Thranduil sat on his Throne with an empty throne next to him. The gates were shut and his cold heart was broken. He sat there emotionless listening to the cries of his people as they weep and the sorrow that lingered through the whole kingdom. Thranduil gripped the sides of his throne trying to not think of that day, the day his world came falling apart the day he lost everything. Read as Thranduil tries to get over his only love or can he? Will he find a new love? Or will he succumb to his aching heart? Meolen is a young elf who stumbles upon the Mirkwood forest whilst running away from her past. Will Thranduil help or abandon this elf in her time of despair and hopelessness.

Their greatest King was not always so great. He went through more to earn that title than any elf should ever have to. The elven threat was ended, who could desire the throne of Greenwood now? Thranduil must find a way to escape, or die trying. He can't aid this group of mercenaries lest he rip out his own heart. Rhovanel has to find her beloved before the baby comes. She needs Thranduil by her side more than ever, but when Annoneth is unsuccessful in locating him, Rhovanel starts to lose all hope of her king's return. A darkness stirs, leaving the fate of the elves uncertain. (Sequel to The King's Heart)

King Thranduil has everything at his feet. His son, Legolas, a kingdom and a crown with all of its treasures, but what he doesn't have is a companion to share his life with. When Laer steps into his kingdom he finds himself curious about her, what makes her smile, what makes her tick, and most of all, what does this average elf think of the king of Mirkwood? I do not own any of the characters besides Laer and Rovain, everything else goes happily to Tolkien. ** Extremely Slow Updates ** Due to complaints I feel the need to write this... it clearly says slow updates above. It doesn't say completed in the details either. This is an unfinished story. There are slow updates. I have an extremely busy schedule with my full time job, my full time in college and the work load I receive from college and I go through extremely rough patches with my depression to where I do nothing. I have no time to write and in the time that I do, I don't want to force myself to write a chapter because it won't come out as nicely as I'd want it. I understand the frustration of not being able to read a finished story because that frustrates me too, but please be courteous enough to ask why I don't update or be even nice about it. I worry about enough and having readers be angry with me, really upsets me and doesn't really push me to write. If anything, it makes me want to just delete this story all together because I don't know when this will be finished or if it ever will be. Some of you have been extremely supportive for my situation, so thank you for that... again, slow updates and I don't know when this will be finished.

It is with the help of an unlikely being; an elf king of the Woodland Realm, that she feels, and learns the greatest love of all.
