I didn't bother picking it up. I was so embarrassed. I left the library and headed down the hallway. My shoulders slumped and my eyes watching my feet. I was so angry with myself. Just then I heard her calling my name. "Zach! Hold on!" she called. I kept walking. There was no way I was going to face her. I heard her footsteps quickly approach me. I couldn't stop her. There was a part that didn't want to. Her hand grabbed my shoulder. "Hey. Why'd you leave?" I turned to face her. "I don't know. Just leave me alone, please." I said. "No! I'm not going to leave you alone. You have to talk to me." she said. "No I don't!" I said then shook her hand off my shoulder. "Why are you like that? Why do always push people away? I want to help you. I want to know you." she said.
