Matthew is a 17 year old senior that attends Bishop Ireton High. Matthew is one of the top dogs of the school mainly because of his bad boy attitude. A girl Selena moves back up to Virginia from Texas because her dad is transferring back for work and has to drag Selena with him. Selena and Matthew used to be the two best of friends before she moved away after 6 years. Selena moved away for 4 years because of her dads job, but when she has to move back will anyone remember her? Will Matt remember her? She starts out being bullied and slowly climbs up the ladder of the school and becomes one of the top dogs until she gets dropped again. Selena finds no hope but keeps fighting for her own sake. She was there for her dad and for his happiness not for anyone else , especially Matt's.
