Autumn's life had always been hard. A slave to poverty, she had scavenged and hunted and begged all her life. She provided for her entire family, her mother was often too weak and her father was a cruel, self obsessed man who never shared the money he earned. Yet despite this, she was happy. She had her twin, Azalea, who's innocence from the world protected her gentle spirit. But one night, when the officials turn up at their door demanding the twins, their lives change forever. This is based off a story I (attempted) to write with my best friend.
