The rest of the world was left to watch the last of the fiery rays smothered out into an indigo dusk. Cats huddled in the gloom around a limp loved one, their faces buried in her blood-stained pelt. It had been too soon. Death always arrived too soon, though, and no one can escape it forever. -- ☼ -- This short story tells the farewell of beloved former Driftclan leader and mother, Sunshower. Despite her controversy, she was a respected and well-liked cat among all of the clans, and her passing marked a dark point in history for many cats. There is physical fighting and mentions of blood in this story, and although it is not overly gory, if you dislike mentions of blood, this is not the story for you. Sunshower is a character of my creation (and her friends and family are creations of my friends), but the world she lived in was built by MFGC, and the concept of warriors belongs to Erin Hunter and the Warriors series. Credit for certain aspects of this story goes to them respectively.

Prophecies are works about journeys and saving clans via StarClan's designated cats. StarClan can't predict everything though, right? Sparkfur is hated by much of her clan. She's much more intelligent than any other cat, she's sassy, and an annoyance. They have half a mind to kick her out, but at the same time, they would never put the deputy's sister in the dangers of being a loner. That's the difference about DrizzleClan and its fellow bordering clans: the rogues are savages that will murder any lone cat in cold blood if they don't join up with the growing Rogue band. So no blunt prophecy from the heavens, but we do have Sparkfur and her tense-relationship with her brother Berryfoot to stop the massacres.
