After saving Gabriel -- the supposedly dead archangel -- from Abbadon's cruel grasp, Sam finds himself in a completely alternate world. Literally. He's not a Hunter. Since Gabriel was nine, he loved fairy stories, especially the one with the locked away princess in the castle just three days walk from his little village. He made a promise that one day, he'd rescue the girl and bring her home where they would live their days. Now he's gotten older and really just wants to piss Lucifer off, none of this "happy endings" and "hero" crap comes into it any more.
