Author's Note: This is my only unedited book; the style of writing is thus different from what you might have seen in my other books. Compared to them, this book also has much more grammatical mistakes. Hope you enjoy it nevertheless. ________________ ~"Khushi Kumari Gupta , will you marry me? Here...in this same mandap!! Will you give me the honour of being your life partner? Will you light up my darkness filled life with your smile? Will you be with me...till the end of the time?" He asked with his hopeful eyes locked with her teary ones. ~"I love you Khushi...I really do! I can't bear even a single scratch on you...it hurts me.." He said looking at her skin which had turn red after their passionate moment. She smiled shyly and hid her face in his chest. ~"I didn't marry you because I loved you but because I wanted to use you!! This..." He caressed her cheek onto which tears had dried up, "this body!! I wanted to use this!! And this..." He placed his hand over her heart, "I wanted to play with this!!!!" ~~ Life is never a bed full of roses and her only mistake was that she denied this saying under the delusion of having a world filled with love. What happens to Khushi who has been living in a world where pain couldn't even touch her...where only happiness were awaiting her but then one day, the realisation hit her hard. The realisation that everything was a lie...an illusion created by none other than her own love? What happens to Arnav who decides to destroy his only love with his own hands due to a misconception only to realise the truth when the damage is done? Genre: Fanfiction Sub Genre: Romance, angst READERS DISCRETION ADVISED! This book doesn't deal with sexual contents but has a mild encounter with self harm! If you can't handle the slightest of that, I advise you not to read it. It's not dark but can be harmful if you are too sensitive to stuffs such as depression and mental instability.

Arranged marriage was an age-old story that Khushi, the youngest of the infamous Gupta family, who revolutionized and dominated the trading market for generations, knew well. For it was the only thing she heard growing up. But that neither prepared her nor comforted her as she got ready that morning. It was an important day, a day where she would trade her surname for a new one, her silence for a new chance, her respect for a new hope, her life for another. It was a day of contracts, both new and old. As she hid behind the traditional red shawl, knowing that the whole world would be watching her, waiting to pounce, she wondered why her mother never told her about any of the good marriages. The ones that worked out. The ones that had hope. The ones that had love. Probably because they don't exist, Khushi thought to herself. Only, destiny had believed otherwise. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a stand alone story that has no connection with the original show, Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, except for the names of the lead characters. This is the edited version of Humdard. ~~~~~~ The questions escaped his throat hastily, as the hammering against his chest increased ten folds. He was already in half tremors as he waited with bated breaths, for the woman to continue, to reveal. The lady frowned, then looked around and lastly, deepened her frown. "Payal hasn't been informed yet?" "In-informed about what?" He asked feeling on the brink of losing it. Something was not right. His sixth sense hinted and it was proven right, dead right the very next minute. The lady glanced at her red hands, shaking her head in pity. "That Khushi attempted suicide. She jumped, off the terrace. They just took her to the hospital."

When a reserved and introvert Arnav had agreed to marry, on the suggestion and incessant demands of his family, he had only accepted the alliance hoping that his would-be-wife would be a bedmate, or a room-mate at best. He had no intention of acknowledging the presence of her in his life other than that because he didn't believe in an arranged marriage owing to his past. However the quiet companionship along with the care that his wife had brought about with her had thawed his frozen heart and unlike his usual self, he had started warming upto her. Their relationship would best be termed as complicated for the way it had started on a rough note, from both their ends. But with the span of time he had felt the change in the dynamics. Khushi, on her part, had to put up with the circumstances life had thrown her in. Her dreams of a prince charming sweeping her off her feet had been shattered long before she had found herself married to a man who was every woman's nightmare come true. And it hadn't taken her long to realize that her husband was merely sailing in the same boat as her's, except that he didn't have a heart like her. He was a man who was driven by need because no matter how unwilling she was she couldn't help notice the sexual tension that surrounded her, or them, whenever she was in the vicinity of her husband. Their days didn't have much to offer, but the silence of the nights brought with it an awkwardness that had started to set into their relationship, a relationship that didn't need words, but mere touches and glances that were enough to evoke those feelings in their unfeeling hearts, the difference in their class, upbringing and status notwithstanding. Would their evolving feelings be enough to cement a marriage that they had walked into unwillingly? ****
