I trudged into the bar being followed by my girlfriend Emily calling for me to wait up. I tried to quicken my pace but gave up realizing I'm supposed to want to be with her. I turned around to see Em panting and I had to bite my lip to stop the smile coming on to my face. She had a small amount of sweat pooling in the corners of her forehead. As she came closer she intertwined our fingers and I immediately frowned. I always hated her cold clammy fingers digging into mine. Once again I reminded myself. YOUR SUPPOSED TO WANT THIS YOUR IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL! As we walked in my eyes wandered through the thick crowd until landing on a certain Latina. I couldn't help but stare while she swayed to the music smiling with some friends. I would do anything to be one of those friends. My breath hitched as she saw me and began walking over. Had I been staring that long? I cleared my throat ready for the awkward confrontation but instead she walked over to Emily. I quickly composed myself just in time to fall apart again as I heard the words flow from the Latina "Em, is that you?". My jaw dropped along with Emily's who choked out "Santana?".

Brittany and Santana were best friends practically since birth. Santana and her family move when she's seven years old and Santana and Brittany are forced apart.
