[Boyxboy, LGBT fiction] One-Shot : A literary work usually between 100 to 5,000 words, with no chapters or sequels. Is generally used as a synonym of 'short story'. Some people attribute the word to meaning the story is a fanfiction, but that would be a One-Shot fanfic, not a One-Shot. In simple terms, a one-shot is a short piece, whether it be a single photo or a single story, that sticks to one subject and has no chapters, no volumes and no sequels. (I'd like to point out now that even though it says above that a One-Shot doesn't have sequels or other chapters, that doesn't mean certain stories of mine won't become standalone novels or series' in the future. Some One-Shots might even have second parts to them, though if they manage to spread into more than two parts, they will most likely be put into their own book.) ------------------------- This book is made up of short stories containing things such as love between males, sexual scenes, foul language, suicide, self harm, etc. Some stories are rated PG while others are more R. Warnings are at the beginning of each story.
