Part 1 Phil is the new boy to school. Dan is the loner who doesn't talk. After his new friends, Chris and Pj, convince him to talk to him, Phil finds himself fascinated with him. As they grow closer he learns that the silent boy has a lot more to him. Part 2 After high school Dan and Phil moved in together, growing closer than before. As Phil finds out more and more about Dan's horrible past he finds himself feeling something more... Does Dan? What are they going to do though when Dan finally breaks? Can Phil fix him? And after 5 years of asking of Phil asking 'talk to me' will he? A/N Part 1 is mostly an in-depth backstory if you want to skip, although it might not make sense then. It also contains no actual 'Phan'. It will be entirely Phils POV for part 1 and mostly Phil for part 2. This book was inspired by 'Speak Up Already' by Geniusotaku. Dan and Phil knew more than anyone that death wasn't kind to anyone, and though they know it's a bad idea, they can't help but fall in love.

Dan is different. He's learned to accept that. Well, as best he can anyway, considering he's never really had much of a choice. It's been this way for as long as he can remember, the constant runaround process of trying to feel normal. His life is built around it, trying to trick both himself and everyone he interacts with into seeing him as your average person. The isolation as he desperately tries to keep others from finding out, the bitterness that wells up inside of him each and every time he's reminded that he'll never be like everyone else, the fear that nothing will ever change. He's fated to be this way forever; a misfit from society. Isolation can only go so far though, so when he's struggling to make ends meet and he's faced with the option of looking into a serious job or taking on a roommate, he opts for what seems like the easier option at the time. It doesn't seem so easy ten failed roommates into the process, or when he sits down at a table to meet with prospect number eleven and ends up with a coffee spilled all over his lap. Potential roommate number eleven, Phil, turns out to be an insufferable optimistic ball of sunshine that Dan wants nothing to do with. His options are running out though, as are the savings he's been using to pay his rent, so he finds himself begrudgingly agreeing to let the other man move in. Neither of them have any way of knowing just what they've gotten themselves into as they shake on the matter, but time will tell.

The United Kingdom isn't so united anymore. Rebellions nobody can even remember the cause of, cause panic throughout what's left of Great Britain. The Government have one too many secrets and Dan Howell is about to know them all. Of course, it isn't his fault his dad's an egotistical liar and his mum's a sociopath. And it definitely is not his fault he was captured by the Rebels. However, it was completely his fault when a super-advanced highly dangerous humanoid species begins slowly taking over. Oops? Just for clarification: this is a Phan (Danisnotonfire x AmazingPhil) fic! Disclaimer: I don't own any of these people because that would be slavery and slavery is illegal, also I'm not that rich. Dan is a firm believer that love doesn't exist. Not in adults, and definitely not in high school. He detests silly love stories and petty relationships, posing as 'love', and nothing could possibly change his mind in that. But when new student Phil takes an intrest in Dan, he can't deny that he's interested in the boy. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.
