An old curse, a green-haired info dumping tsundere, small town legends, and actual lesbians in Michigan (Real!) are things I never thought I'd run into transferring to an all-girls boarding school for my senior year but, here I am. ***** Hey, I'm Jocelyn. Just Jocelyn. I'm an 18-year-old with a sarcastic/pessimistic sense of humor (according to my friend Marianne). I'm a lesbian, model-turned-writer who decided to write her first story about herself. Yes I know how vain that sounds and I know how boring biographies can be (thanks Ms Emery) but don't worry enough happened my senior year to call this a story. A story where my goal of finishing high school is sort of thrown to the side as I deal with a "curse" that 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 started sometime in the 70's and revolves around being blonde? Dumb curses aren't the only thing I'm burdened with at this school since I also have to make sure my friends don't secretly hate me, attend to that that green haired info dumping tsundere who I may or may not have feelings for and attend to an embarrassing ex who I may or may not still have feelings for. Stories have genres so let's see if I had to give my senior year a genre it would be a...coming of age rom-com maybe? Miss Author just nodded her head so I guess we'll go with that. So yeah that's the blurb. Hope you enjoy my story! (Miss Author told me to write that last line ughhh) ☆ story status - completed ☆ completed on may, 20th 2023 ~ final revision date - september, 9th 2023 ☆ highest rankings - #16 in shoujo #68 in lightnovel #33 in girlslove ☆ Previously known as - I'm Popular (or at least i used to be) Vol. 1 ☆ 1-2 illustrations in every chapter :)

[Wattpad's Summer Reading Checklist 2022 Pick] "'Hella heavy' is your response to seeing me with a literal fish tail?" "Sorry. Should ... should it be something else? Wait, does this mean that you can't eat sushi?" * * * * * When Alyssa shows up in Hulhazy Front a week after wiping the memory of her partner, she's terrified of ruining everything again. Her brother and dad are convinced she'll be okay as soon as she's able to "move on", which makes no sense to her, because they sound like the exact same thing. Alyssa doesn't care about moving on--she just cares about hiding the fact that she's a mermaid from this new small town, and especially her new coworker, Elliot. Elliot has spent the past year trying to figure out how to be out. It seems that every time she finds some kind of balance, something has to happen. Her parents say something homophobic before she's about to confess her "big secret," or her old friends from the swim team make some jab about all the things they're convinced Elliot did sophomore year. She's planning on her summer consisting of working at the public pool, hiding her sexuality, and third-wheeling it up with her best friends, Neema and Duncan. Until, of course, she meets Alyssa. *cover created using graphics from freepik*

I just smirked at the way they all looked down on me. The way they all try to trip me down and glare like they can kill me with one look. I could easily laugh their stupidity and small minds as I make it through the day the way I've always done it. By myself. With no friends. No family. I don't cry myself to sleep hoping that my prince will come and save me... I don't beg those dimwitted jocks to stop giving me a hard time whenever they get the chance. I don't try to fit in when the person I'll hurt the most is myself by lying. I don't wish that my dead parents will come back when I know they won't. I don't do this because I, Carter Summers, am a strong willed person that knows the sad fact that this.... This... is my reality..... When Carter gets a small request from a teacher for his creative way of writing. He temporarily joins the newspaper club to gain extra credit to assure his scholarship. His job is to answer questions from the entire Newton High's students and give them advice. But since the entire population hates him for being homosexual, he does this in secret by answering within the papers, and goes by the name of... Reality. ***Cover by RougeHopes*** #19 in Teen Fiction

Only Liv's best friend Bella and her father know about Liv's gift. It's not something you'd want to flaunt around like it's a medal unless you yearn to be shipped to the looney bin. But despite all her attempts to get close to him after a strange first encounter, he seems insistent to push her away. Soon Liv learns that there just might be more strange people like her out there and there just might be a secret ancient society out for her head. I looked down at the cars on the road and the people way down on the sidewalk. They looked like they were having fun.... I mentally slapped myself. "No," I said aloud. "You like it up here," I told myself, trying to smother the little spark inside of me that I knew wanted to just jump right off the balcony. __________________________________________________________ According to Mother, the only time that I ever left this apartment was when I was born in a hospital a few blocks away.
