Hamilton Academy of the Arts. The school Sydney Acosta moved to all the way from Toronto, Ontario in a barely known city. After the divorce between her mother and father, she's stuck by her mother's side, following her to another city in Canada. Her emotions are expressed through the one thing she loves doing: dancing. Lucas Cahill is a quiet, almost outcast in the school. His twin brother, Joseph, better known as Joey, is the best known guy in school. **UNDER CONSTRUCTION - This was written in 7th grade and I'm now graduated from high school with a few college credits under my belt. I'm fixing all of it.** A shiver raced down my spine and the air thickened. The other end of the alleyway wasn't far, but it didn't seem to be coming closer no matter how fast I walked. Humoring my paranoia, I glanced over my shoulder just in time to catch a fist to the face. I dropped to my hands and knees and stared at the ground in a daze. My jaw throbbed with each beat of my heart, hammering the side of my face. Strong hands gripped me and dragged me backward. We made considerable progress toward the other end of the alleyway before my dazed mind caught up with reality. I was being kidnapped.

"Rose, I'm sorry, but your eyesight will be gone by the end of this year." Who knew one simple sentence could change a life so drastically? Rose is a normal seventeen year old girl with a normal life, normal friends, and what she thought to be normal vision. When she receives the news her vision is slowly deteriorating, she doesn't know what to think. Her life is over. What's a life without being able to see? Enter Chace, a young man who tackled Rose to the ground, mistakingly thinking she was about to commit suicide. He's handsome, suave, and has no idea why Rose is so upset. And even though she is a complete stranger, he decides he wants to help her feel better. With four months until her vision is gone forever, Rose slowly falls in love with this happy-go-lucky young man, but never reveals her problem to him. She's scared. Will he stay with her when he finds out she's going blind? Or will he ditch her when he finds out the truth?
