"I have a request." Percy said in a croaky voice. "Anything for the saviour of Olympus." Lady Hestia replied immediately. "I wish to die." When Annabeth breaks Percy's heart and turns everyone against him, he begs Artemis, Hestia and Hera to kill him. Not wanting their favourite hero to die, they give him a new purpose to live.
