This is my first attempt at writing and I'm doing it mostly to get the story out of my head. Yan Zhi had found her father's mount dead in the forest, losing her only clue to find her eldest brother. With nowhere else to go, she remained in the mortal realm. She found a close friend in a young woman with the face of her former unrequited love. SuSu was a good friend. She's kind and cheerful and a bit naive. She liked to watch plays and took care of small animals. She also had a pet snake that hated Yan Zhi's gut. As she spent more and more time with her. Yan Zhi realized there was a cloud of mystery surrounding her mortal friend. And then one day, she brought back a husband. Ye Hua was the crown prince of the Nine Heavens. He was not supposed to fell in love with mortal women. And yet here he was. As the days progressed, it was harder and harder for him to remain in the mortal realm with her. It really didn't help that SuSu had made friends with the Ghost Princess.
