Sam always felt as if she was rolling down a narrow, rock-ridden slope. For most of her life, she lived with her never-at-home mother and her alcohol-addicted father. After finishing her studies, she books a flight to New York City to start anew. But things don't go her way when the airline mixes up her flight, ultimately leaving her stranded in The City of Angels. If that doesn't sound bad enough, she's been getting creepy letters and visits from a man that only SHE can see. The CCTV cameras show no signs of this man in or out of her apartment! Lost, confused and extremely frustrated, Sam plummets from her muddy slope to a chaotic path that involves a bunch of demons, Satan, and a love-struck angel.
