Iman Khashim-DeGrate always dreamed of finding someone special. Unfortunately, her overbearing father is the 1990s musical mastermind DeVante Swing of Jodeci. One night, Iman is on her way to a party with her best friend Kitana and meets her next door neighbor, Adonis Johnson, the son of Apollo Creed, who died in the boxing ring before he was born. Despite his own personal demons, Adonis falls hard for Iman, much to the chagrin of DeVante.
