Kamiya grew up in Harlem where people steal from the old and don't give a damn about the young. After Kamiya's father passed due to a drug overdose she's left with her mother and her bother Tariq. Kamiya has lived a rough life but she still remains in school so she can have a better life and future. When Jermaine comes into her life she realizes that even though she may not have everything she wants at least she has the things that matter . After Jermaine's parents died he was left out on the streets with nothing.
