"Remember Ayah, he must be from the same country as us, and the same caste. I want his parents to have also been villagers when they were back home. Our thinking clashes a lot with those city dwellers." It seems that in some Muslim cultures, the story of Romeo and Juliet is a reality for many youngsters. While most don't end in death, many do end in tragedies. After seeing her older sister go through it, Ayah is on a mission to change her family's attitudes towards who they allow to marry within the family. But she's surprised to see how irrational and stubborn her family can be, no matter how many Islamic arguments you throw at them! Unless Ayah can change her parents minds, she and Jamil will have to wait an eternity until they can be together! But she wasn't going to give in and be miserable like her sister. Ayah will fight and break these backwards traditions, and it will be worth it.

Life is full of hardships but one thing is for sure, if you remember Allah, you will never be alone. "...And He (Allah) is with you wherever you are..." (Qur'an 57:4) This story is inspired by many aspects of Islam such as fitrah (Innate belief of Allah), the purpose of life and how one can find peace. "Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." (Qur'an 13:28) Hope you enjoy it! More than anything I hope you benefit from it.
