Izuku Midoriya wants nothing more than to be the best Hero he can be despite his quirklessness, despite the fact that he has no powers, no quirk in a world where said powers and quirks can lead you on the basic path of becoming a Hero. He is cast aside for being quirkless by everyone, even his childhood best-friend, who even goes as far to beat him up and tell him to kill himself. That, added with the sudden encounter with his all-time favorite Hero, All Might, who crushes his dreams without mercy and leaves the young boy alone on a rooftop to think about how he can never be a Hero. Izuku spirals out of control and into a situation that may, in fact, be better than any life as a Hero Izuku could have thought of.
