Phil is an orphan, bullied, and living alone with no friends in a home. He does his best not to let that fact that no one seems to care about him get to him, but it's getting harder. Then a nice couple start to take interest in him, and it turns out they have a son his age, Daniel, but the love they begin to share isn't of a brotherly nature...

Phil starts getting cute, little messages from a secret admirer and gradually feels himself falling more and more in love with the boy. But can you really like someone you've never seen before? And what will happen when Phil finds out the real identity of his admirer?

Dan Howell is an insomniac....who's scared of the dark. Only a little bit. One late night (or early morning), he decides to venture out and explore London at its quietest. He meets Phil Lester at an all-night coffee shop, and the two quickly become friends. As the friendship continues to grow, Dan has to begin facing his issues, and his feelings for Phil.

Dan Howell, after years and years of living in relative poverty, in a shitty apartment with his single mom, with never enough to eat, manages to escape. Parker Academy, a prestigious boarding school located in London, hosts a competition, where they accept 100 students across the U.K to enroll without pay. Dan did everything he could to get accepted. Even breaking a few rules along the way. Now that he is in, he'll have to catch up with every other student enrolled. He can't slip behind, but where will he find a classmate to tutor him without them learning Dan's secret? Ontop of all that, he realizes something within his first day of school. You're either the Alpha or the Omega. And Dan's the runt of the litter. He feels like giving up, until he meets his roommate, Phil Lester. Soon, things begin to look bright for Dan. Phil Lester grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. While his father was an international bank CEO, and his mother was....well, in another place, he spent almost his entire life in boarding schools after boarding school, his closest things to parents being teachers and his maids at home. But at least Phil gained at least one thing out of all of this. Phil was considered a child genius, with an IQ much higher than the average adult, so he was very respected amongst his peers. He can walk down the halls, or walk into an exam without a worry in his mind. In fact, the only reason why he stayed at school was out of sheer boredom. And, even though he didn't want to admit it, he was scared of becoming an adult too soon. He was holding onto the last shred of childhood he had left. The popularity, the A's and A+'s and the money left him feeling more empty than prideful. Nothing was exciting anymore, and he only had a few years left before he graduates. Then he meets his new roommate, Dan Howell. And Dan's just the person whom Phil has been waiting for his entire life. But just like him, Dan also has secrets of his own.

Phil doesn't have a best friend in his life. That is, until Dan turns up at his school. They become close and Phil finds out that Dan has a twin brother, but hates to talk about him. It's not until Phil comes over to Dan's house that he finds out why.

Dan Howell: resident theatre geek, is taken by surprise after instantaneously falling for the pretty new boy. Phil Lester: awkward new kid, doesn't even have time to adjust to a new town and new people and a new school before falling for a boy he met on the bus his first day. Everyone Else: has no idea why it took so long for Dan and Phil to realise they like each other. You: hopefully reads, votes, comments on, and immensely enjoys this story. Me: is The Worst, but hopes you like this story. tries to stick to a regular update schedule, but sometimes fails miserably.

Please note: This story is now very old (7 years old in 2020) and I'd like to think my writing has improved since then!
