The world lost a young girl, Allison Argent. Everyone in Beacon Hills mourns her death and everyone does that in their own way. Lydia Martin lost her best friend, her soulmate, the person that believed in her when nobody else did. Allison Argent. She seems to be losing everyone. Everyone is busy with the loss of Allison or rebuilding their life that crumbled down after this dark time. But Lydia doesn't seem to fit in any of them. She can't seem to let the death of the girl she loved so much go and writes to her dead best friend. Meanwhile she tries to build up her life but with everything that's happening, life isn't making it any easier for her. (it's not only letters to Allison, it includes the letters in the story of Lydia's life)

He lifted his head and suddenly his eyes didn't have the same caramel hue, just plain brown and I didn't want to map his paint splatter moles like the infinite galaxies I read about at the library. I watched as his ski slope nose became less of an art piece and the hair I once loved to fiddle with looked coarse and dull, I guess that's the only way you can describe unloving someone.
