Mikasa, an orphaned rebel girl, has been voted off to the Games. District 12 has not won in many years, and to yet again strive, they must receive glory. She decides she must kill and conquer for her district, but one thing is stopping her; the doctor's boy, Eren Jaeger.

Five years ago, mermaids were discovered to actually exist, but the world's response was to hunt them down for their beautiful, unusual scales and create products like clothing, accessories, and such out of them. Mermaids could turn into humans and roam the land, but they had scales covering their ankles, showing that they were mermaids. Mikasa always thought the idea of mermaids was interesting, and she was ashamed that the humans mistreated them so badly. One day, she notices one of her classmates wandering around the lighthouse atop a hill over the sea near where she lived. She recognized him as Eren, a student who transferred recently, and she sees him lunge towards the cold, wavy sea below.

Mikasa can't hold back her feelings, anymore.

Her heart was broken once.. She was used as a toy... But Eren jäger will give her joy....

Finally, Eren and Mikasa are reunited, and it's them against the world from here on out. A universe full of secrets still await to be unraveled, despite how much the two have already learnt since they left the walls to see the outside world.
