The inevitable is coming: technology must evolve alongside magic. The earth wills it. After the Third Holocaust nearly extinguished life on her surface, the earth yearns for renewal and she hungers to guide mankind to its destiny ... but it may not be ready. Trained from boyhood to be protectorate of the only known community of survivors, Blaze's world turns upside down when he fails to protect the Order from an unexpected and devastating attack. Then, as he discovers his mentor has turned executioner, finds himself accused of treason while traveling to Moon 514, and falls victim to Toka's secret gene splicing experiments, Blaze's troubles seem boundless as space itself. His life is further thrown into confusion when he learns his legendary skills in weaponry are useless against the psionic powers of a small alien whose name no one can pronounce - at least, not without two separately functioning vocal chords. And while Evelia, his unquenchable crush, becomes the alien's unexpected apprentice, Blaze hearkens to the earth's call to lead mankind's last few survivors to the destiny she envisions for them: a technologically advanced civilization governed by magic.

Bex Harmin's muse hounds her. Most writers wouldn't mind that but most writers' muses aren't as visible and vocal as Bex's muse, Adder. Adder's the aetherial embodiment of everything she's ever wanted in a man with one glaring exception. He isn't real. Not how it counts. Not that romance figures into her life at all. At her first big convention as an author, Bex has a table full of books and cool merchandise to sell. She's determined to make a name for herself until she discovers the dealers' room is overbooked and she's been crammed into the walk of fame with all the actors and famous writers where no one is interested in meeting an author they've never heard of. Except for Daniel Quick, the most famous voice actor around. Daniel takes an interest in Bex and her books and he quickens her pulse as well. It's the first time in a long time a human man's set her imagination aflame and not the aetherial being who can't leave her alone. Adder doesn't consider the competition friendly and he's out to prove there's only room for one muse in Bex's life.

Past and future become entangled as Nessa meets a young Dan in her present, while ten years in the future, Dan strives to save his wife from the clutches of a lethal serial killer. What would you do if you could make someone else see anything that your mind could conjure up? Would you make them see their long dead grandmother? The Devil? Or would you replace their entire sense of reality and put them in a totally bizarre dreamscape that you control. Crowley has this special gift. He doesn't know why he has it or how he got it, but he has it just the same. First he learned that he could interface with people and access their memories like looking through an old scrapbook. Then he learned that he could alter a person's sense of reality. He can use his gift to scare someone to death if he wants to; and he really wants to, it gives him a certain kind of rush. He prefers his victims to be a certain type of person though, someone who deserves to die, like his sexually abusive grandfather. That was his first victim. Getting someone to kill themselves gives him his rush, but it is addicting like a drug, and the more he does it, the stronger his desire is to do it again, and again, and again. He calls himself a Hallucination Architect or simply a Hallucitect. Mature Content (Ages 17+) Contains frequent use of strong language and depictions of violence and sexual situations.
