The Queen has decided to hold a competition...One that takes lives and gives. One that spills blood and cleans it. All guards of the castle have gone to the city to find a champion but only fifty enter the selection process. Twenty-five Alchemists and twenty-five Destroyers. No one knows what the competition is for or how it will be executed save for the Cruel Queen. The Competition of Death is what it is called and it's completely true. Twenty-five will die, but only one will prevail. For the better or worse. Not expecting a Rare, a person with the ability to control a mixture of Destruction and Alchemy, let alone two, The Cruel Queen is taken aback. But what shocks her most is the fact that both Rares are prisoners with the title of "The Worst Criminals in Carrallizian History." Better known as the Ergastula. The biggest disgrace of Carralliz. Without any memory of their lives, the Rares fight in the competition to earn their freedom, but they prove to be a royal pain in the neck for the Cruel Queen. An even bigger one than the threats of war coming from the East and the West. Will the queen be able to keep the competition going smoothly? Or will she have to address the threats of war?

Percy is really unlucky. Gaia is finally defeated and forced into a deep sleep. But like every good villain she goes out with a bang...almost...in reality it's more like a 'poof'. With the little time, she has before entering the realm of Hypnos she literally curses the root of all of her problems......Percy Jackson. So when Percy arrives at a strange place called Alagaesia, finds a strange stone along with a beautiful sword...needless to say that he knows he is in for a whole new world of trouble. NOTE: I am not great at humour so I will try it but for the most part it will simply be a wiser, more intelligent and more serious Percy. Also, the book starts off a little slow. NOTE: I do not own either PJO/HOO or Eragon, all rights go to Rick Riordan and Christopher Paolini. Well except the plot and original characters I come up with. I also do not own any of the images used in this such as the cover of the book or the images within.

Once upon a time, in a land known as Nuvinia, there were two statements that all inhabitants knew to be fact. First, the two kingdoms of Nuvinia, Dral and Proghund, despised one another and would spend eternity at odds. Two, one should practice extreme caution when at sea, because the waters were infested with seductive sirens who would happily sing you to your grave. For a young siren named Vivian, there were also two statements that had always been accepted as fact. One, she must not reach the age of eighteen before mating with and drowning a human man, or else be cast out from her pod to fend for herself. And two, she could not kill someone, even a human, for it would tear her apart. But she has to try. Just twenty-eight days before her birthday, Vivian sets out to find her victim. A quick turn of events results in her being taken aboard first a ship captained by a handsome Dralian pirate and then the boat of the dashing Proghundese prince himself. In the days that follow, Vivian explores the human world and its inhabitants instead of searching for a victim as her family believes she is doing-and the more that she does, the more she resents what she must do in order to stay with them. As she becomes friends with the prince and the pirate, Vivian discovers that her true destiny is to follow her heart rather than please others. And if she's lucky, Vivian may even stop a deadly war during her journey to find where she truly belongs. AWESOME cover by @elphadora!!
