A story inspired by my unfinished story Secrets. I had to write a novella for a university course so I decided to upload it here for you all to read. It contains many elements of my local folklore and local flavor (Trinidadian). It is the story of a couple who get lost in the woods while on a hike, and the girl is taken by a mysterious force. Her boyfriend undertakes a series of tasks to get her back led by a helpful spirit. Or is she?

The faeries of nature and the demons of chaos are on the brink of war when the heir to the throne of nature, Overyn, is taken captive by the Lord of Chaos. If the Queen does not get her son back by the next full moon then she will unleash the forces of nature in all its might. Overyn sends messages to his lover Kailyn by using the wind and Kailyn must follow these messages to find Overyn before the Lord of Chaos can enact his plan and control both nature and chaos.
