Dan raised the younger boy alone, shielding him from love and telling him never to get attached, but Percy can't help but fall in love with the new girl in school and as hard as it is for both of them, Dan knows it's time to tell his son about his own tragic relationship and how his heart was broken. Through tears, memories and some old words of wisdom, Dan finally allows himself to recall exactly what happened between himself and his first and only love, Phil.

Phil starts getting cute, little messages from a secret admirer and gradually feels himself falling more and more in love with the boy. But can you really like someone you've never seen before? And what will happen when Phil finds out the real identity of his admirer?

Dan is lonely seeing as his parents are always too busy for him. Since birth, he’s had a life plan that he is to follow exactly, though he wants to create his own future. He meets a really quiet kid, Phil, who never talks to anyone and is known as “Freaky Phil” by everyone in school. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.
