Have you ever felt as though you had been missing something? Felt as though something was being hidden from you? Everyday, someone (or more) is murdered. Sure, you may think, "People die everyday, so what?" But these people die in the most strange and otherwordly ways. Poisoned with unknown elements, stabbed by unimaginable weapons, left to die in the strangest places, and various other ways and methods. In the desert, where clouds hover close, one facility has dedicated itself to the research of these events. Determined to solve these mysteries, the facility pays the government to hide these murders from the news and public. After a series of repeating murders, a rising number of victims, and a decrease in money, the team of researchers find a lead as to where these weapons are coming from. But who wants to go with such an amazing risk of horrific death? (There is a lot of violence and blood, so if that is something you don't want to, or can't read, just find another book. Though I'm glad you considered reading this, there is gore... Just going to throw that out there.)

In Elemental magic you can be one of four magic types; water, fire, earth, and air. The only problem is Violet is none of these things. Is she what they call a magic dud, or is she something rarer, more powerful, and more dangerous than anyone could have imagined!? Teasers, "Em, most girls sneak out for a boy, you sneak out for a unicorn." I began to cry as it reached for my face."No!" I screamed. "Please No!" I went to pull back the shower curtain, but some nagging thought in the back of my head stopped me. I didn't have a little brother, so why was there a little boy in my bathroom? I gulped and with shaking hands pulled back the shower curtain. "What!? How could that be!?" I yelled, and covered my hand with my mouth. Shouting wasn't such a good idea right at this moment. If someone heard us and came up here to investigate the noise we were making, they would find a boy and a girl, a bloody knife with both their finger prints on it, and a very very dead body. "Don't touch her!" he hissed and lunged at Henry. Running through the night wearing nothing but a flimsy hospital dress, while waving a dismembered hand in his hand, was a strangeness no regular person could hope to inspire to.

Brooklyn is an almost-sixteen-year-old girl with normal teenage wants: to be pretty, to be popular, to be adored by a cute guy. Luckily for her, she's a witch about to come of age--so she's only a few spells away from making it all happen. On her milestone birthday, Brooklyn's parents finally unbind her powers, and she discovers her true gift: the ability to cast love spells. Pretty soon, Brooklyn has worked her magic to gain access to the elite crowd, and if she jump-starts her relationship with gorgeous Asher using a matchmaking spell, it's harmless, right? But Brooklyn's life isn't as enchanted as it seems. As the clique escalates its initiation tests, she's forced to use magic to complete the tasks. And if anyone finds out who she really is and what she can do, her life is over, just like her ancestors in Salem. If she can't use magic, what does Brooklyn have left--now that she has everything to lose?
