Meet Xavier, our resident hero. He's just a kid, living in a house that everyone in the neighborhood calls "The Haunted House". Xavier wants to be a regular, Muslim child, but a few things stand in his way: His family isn't Muslim, and they'll do anything to keep him from becoming one. Also, he feels he isn't welcome in the mosques, seminars, and other places of worship. The last thing? Nobody in his neighborhood actually knows he exists...

You know that awkward moment when someone asks you if you're secretly bald? Or that moment when your male teacher tries to give you a handshake and you politely refuse but he still gets offended? Or that really awkward moment when people start to talk about religion in class, and all eyes are automatically on you. Yup. We've all been there, and I dedicate this book to every single Muslimah who's been through the same thing. So let's take a moment to acknowledge these beautiful moments and make the best of them! Joseph, the guy that is physically blessed is supposed to fuck his way through the school campus. His friends keep cheering him on but deep inside he knew that was simply not possible. Yet he went with the flow and carried on with being a hoe. Nathaniel's the dude caught up in the past, mourning about something that happened years ago. The cause of his broken heart is no other than - the manwhore slash his ex-bff - Joseph. Therefore he made it his new life purpose to beat Joseph in anything and everything, thinking that might help him overcome his past. Layla. Well, Layla is just Layla the girl with the headscarf. Further investigations were not required since the girl with that scarf on her head will always be the girl with that scarf on her head. A bet. A reckless, meaningless bet designed for the dumb, was the beginning of the boys interaction with the girl that was wrapped up. How were they supposed to get into her pants when all she exposed was her face? Life standards couldn't be any more different and a clash of cultures is not the only thing pushing the characters out of their comfort zone. ▪▪▪ Title meaning: Haram means prohibited in Arabic Halal means permitted in Arabic So "Started from Haram now we Halal", means nothing else than "We started off wrong and now we good" By the way, this story is based on clichés however I tried to mix it up a little by breaking some of the general rules.
