I was taken on Christmas day. I'm not alone though. I have others with me that have endured the same pain and torture I have. There is no such thing as escape for us. There's not just one kidnapper but three. They watch our every move and will kill anyone that tries to make a run for it. The darkness...it's getting to be too much. I can barely hold on anymore. The thought of never seeing my friends or family again kills me. But maybe, just maybe, if I hang onto that sliver of hope everything will turn out okay in the end. I warn you now though, my story does not have a happy ending.

Nyx, Carolina, Adelaide, Anaheim, Sasha, Alice and Roxy are all the devil's children. Raised by the devil himself, they thrive on destroying people's lives. They will kill anyone that interferes with their plans. Together they will set this world on fire. --------------------------- I was in a blindingly white room with equally white floors. The nurses were vigorously trying to clean up a pool of blood with a mop, working quickly. I knew they couldn't see me, that I was just watching a simple memory. What the hell was this? It seemed familiar but I couldn't remember a damn thing about this room. Taking in my surroundings, I noticed the blood stains on the walls. They must have been recent since they were a fresh, brighter red, the blood not oxidizing yet. My head whipped around the room, taking in the operating table, the instruments lying on a tray, the electroshock machine in the corner, the doctor's sinister eyes as he places a gag on the same countertop as the sleek chrome sink. I gagged, having a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew I had electroshock therapy, knew it had erased seven years of my memory. I didn't want to remember this. I watched myself in horror as the heavy white door opened, a girl identical to me shoved into the room. I stumbled, confused as I took in the sight that was before me. I reached out towards her, wanting her to know what was to come. I watched, horrified, as my past self started panicking, trying to escape. I watched them pick me up and strap me onto the table, protesting, then shoving a gag in my mouth. My eyes widened as the evil doctor cranked up the machine, saw myself convulsing, twitching, eyes rolling in the back of my head. The desire to kill these evil people consumed my mind, becoming my only repetitive thought.

The year is 2096. The earth has seen two more world wars since 2016. The last war that destroyed a quarter of Canada and half of Japan, was enough to make the government enforce strict actions. Countries are now split, no communication at all between them. Humans now live in conglomerations of small pods stacked upon each other. Each person has their own space, but they're all confined to being underground. Half of the people living inside the pods have never seen natural sunlight. Birth rates are violently controlled due to the lack of space and pods constantly having to be built. Couples are allowed, but physical contact reaching past anything more than a hug is forbidden. Sex is strictly banned unless it is agreed by contract or an operation is done to assure a baby cannot be created. It's a tough life. It's a boring life. And it's a lonely one too. A life underground simply isn't good enough for some and sooner or later, you have to leave the shadows.
