(SLOWBURN) She gave up on love long ago. Julia Williams has perfected the art of being invisible-a girl who learned to survive alone, caught between parents who chose their new families over her. Emotionally neglected and yearning for affection she'd never receive, Julia built walls around her heart and accepted a bitter truth: some people simply weren't made to be loved. Music became her escape. Performing in bars and clubs, she poured her pain into songs, never expecting anything more from life than the stage beneath her feet. Until one fatal night changes everything. A tragic accident shatters Julia's world and awakens her in an impossible place-a glamorous birthday celebration on August 29, 1987. She's face to face with the most celebrated artist on the planet: Michael Jackson, the King of Pop himself. With a new name, a new identity, and thirty-eight years erased from existence, Julia is thrust into a world of fame, fortune, and unexpected connections. But as she navigates this glittering past, she discovers something she never thought possible: perhaps her heart wasn't broken beyond repair. Perhaps some people are worth learning to love for. Will Julia be able to rewrite his story?

In the summer of 2026, the world is buzzing with the release of the Michael Jackson biopic. For twenty-two-year-old Xiomara Vega, the theater is a sanctuary, a place to lose herself in the music of the man she's spent her whole life admiring from afar. But as the silver screen fades to black and the hum of the theater lulls her into an exhausted sleep, the world shifts. Xiomara doesn't wake up in a plush cinema seat. She wakes up on a cold park bench in 1984, greeted by the sound of a police officer's baton and a world without smartphones, Uber, or the internet. Trapped in the neon-soaked peak of the Thriller era, Xiomara is a ghost from a future that hasn't happened yet. To survive, she secures a job at the periphery of the King of Pop's whirlwind life. She knows every headline before it breaks, every secret before it's whispered, and every heartache before it strikes. She's determined to keep her head down and find a way home, until she meets him. Michael is lonely, shielded by fame, and searching for someone who sees the man behind the sequined glove. In Xiomara's "futuristic" spirit and mysterious origins, he finds a soul he can't explain. But as the timeline begins to blur and the pull of 2026 grows stronger, Xiomara must decide: do you save the man you love from the future you already know? Or do you risk disappearing forever? The studio was quiet, the smell of old mahogany and expensive cologne hanging in the air as he reached out, his fingers barely brushing her wrist, his voice a soft, desperate anchor in the dark. "Mara, stay... with me... stay here."

"It causes your immune system to turn against you," I explained gently. The color terrifyingly drained from his face as he stared at his knuckles. "I have a spot," he whispered, his voice scraping like glass. "Right here." He let out a strangled noise as the stadium footage buffered. "Riley!" he shrieked, covering his burning face while peering through his fingers at his future self. "Those pants leave absolutely nothing to the imagination!" He went so unnaturally still I thought his heart had stopped beating. His charcoal-stained fingers curled into tight fists. "Fifty," he whispered, scanning the fatal summary on the glowing screen. "I am... I am gone at fifty." What if the only way to save your future was to completely abandon your past? In 1982, Michael Jackson is suffocating. Trapped behind his family's compound gates and drowning under industry pressure, the rising star just wants a life of peace and normalcy. The universe answers-violently ripping him from his timeline and dropping him onto the bedroom rug of Riley, a freelance graphic designer in the year 2025. Stranded forty-three years in the future, Michael must face a world that already knows his tragic history. But Riley fiercely refuses to let that history repeat. She offers him the anonymous, ordinary life he always craved, rebuilding his shattered confidence brick by brick and teaching him the radical concept of self-love. More importantly, she arms him with the ultimate weapon: the brutal truth. She gives him the exact names of the snakes hiding in his 1982 backyard, the upcoming betrayals, and the devastating tragedies he is destined to face. When the universe inevitably pulls him back, Michael is no longer the timid pop star terrified of his shadow. He is a king preparing to claim his throne, knowing exactly how to rewrite music history and what it takes to survive. But armed with the future, changing his fate might cost him the one person who taught him how to live.

~complete~ Charlotte is as sweet as a strawberry. She's the kind of person who will drop everything just to help you, just to put a smile on your face. She's as sweet as the sugar that constantly runs through her bloodstream, and as excitable as the rush that comes with it. And then there's Benjamin, who's as sour as a lemon. The last thing on this Godforsaken planet he wants to do is acquaint himself with her. While Charlotte is kind and caring, he's rude and vulgar, while she's friendly and innocent, he's crass and mean. So how in the hell is that going to turn out?

***GirlXGirl Romance*** Living in New York you learn to keep up with the quick pace of the city, myself included. BOOK ONE Coming out was supposed to set Julian free. Instead, it left him with a broken arm, a mother who won't stop preaching, and a silence that grows heavier every day. High school feels like a cage, and Julian is certain he doesn't belong anywhere-until Paul crashes into his world. With his inked skin, effortless charm, and a following that makes him untouchable, Paul should be the last person Julian lets close. Loving Paul means risking exposure, rejection, and heartbreak all over again. Worse, it means facing the cruelest voice of all-the one inside Julian's own head. Tender, raw, and unflinching, Open is a story about first love, first heartbreak, and finding the courage to believe you're worthy of both. ::: I could feel it when his body finally went slack, when he'd fallen asleep and soft snores emitted. And I thought I was getting better at this breaking down thing... I honestly did but when I was alone, I seemed to fall apart. Endless serenades of how worthless I'd been and how destructive I was; I was a disappointment to literally everyone and I hated it. My breathing became shallow as I cried for the second time that day, finally feeling content being immersed in guilt. A shudder wracked through my body, tears escaping and Paul pulled me closer as he woke silently. Mumbling soft nothings against my skin and kissing it to slow my breathing, he tried to lull me to sleep, "It's okay, you're okay." Refusing to speak -my voice failing me- his arm came up to wrap around my shoulder and I held him there, placing a small kiss to his tattooed skin in a broken sign of gratitude, I must've run out of tears. And I felt at ease.
