Inspired by the BBC series Merlin, a What Could Have Been scenario if Morgana was still good

Arthur Pendragon begins to worry when his manservant, Merlin, stops showing up to work.

Merlin's secret is revealed to Arthur whilst on a hunting trip. Merlin then has to struggle with new revelations that might make his life a lot more complicated. Merthur. (I own nothing of Merlin).

On a day, a unknown woman asks for a audience with the king and queen. She claims to know a spell that will reveal every sorcerer in the kingdom, and if he has used his magic for good or dark things. Merlin is in a conflict with himself. Is this woman a con artist, or have Gaius and he to fear for their future?

If Arthur could only be saved by Morgana's blood, given WILLINGLY, how would Merlin achieve this? Would he be able to melt Morgana's frozen heart with her hidden love for her brother...for him?

Emrys has always known that it is her destiny to turn the spoiled Prince Arthur Pendragon into the greatest king Camelot has known since magic was expelled from the kingdom. But if Emrys guides Arthur to his destiny, she leads herself to her own doom. Emrys hopes to be able to change her fate, but it's hard to focus on that when she's busy trying to keep the prat of a prince from being killed by everything else. ***This is a fanfiction based on the BBC show Merlin and features MAJOR canon divergent. There are original characters in this, some taking place of canon characters and others added in as side characters. After a dangerous chance encounter with Morgana, Arthur finally considers using magic's aid against her. Determined not to be like his father, Arthur sets out to form an alliance with the Druids. He's been hearing the name Emrys-supposedly the most powerful sorcerer to ever live-everywhere he goes, and Arthur is set on finding him. While on a camping trip, Merlin was obviously exhausted as he'd been acting strange all day. As he falls asleep, Gwaine finds a small leather bound journal hidden away in the servants coat, which he soon learns is a journal. He reads a few to himself, then to the Knights. They all soon realize how sad and how seemingly alone Merlin believes he is. They all realize, just how little they know about Merlin. [Hint: The Knights and Arthur learn about Freya!]
