Dan is definitely beyond nervous to start at the prestigious boarding school, Harrison Academy. He wants to get away from the past and start a new life, where he meets his dorm mate, Phil Lester. Phil is always happy, it seems, and wants the best for everyone, but as he continues to get to know Dan, he realizes that there's something wrong with this particular boy that maybe even Dan isn't aware of. Phil Lester hasn't had the best past. He was bullied and tormented because of his sexuality and had no friends for a long time. He then moved to London where he met Chris and PJ who help get his life back on track again. Suddenly he's under a spell when 'The Lonely Prince' - Dan Howell walks into the room and smiles at him. Dan was what you'd call.. average. Average grades. Average home with an average family. Dan had to move a billion miles away from home and leave behind everything that mattered to him. What does Dan have to live for now? He's nobody. Enter Phil, the quiet kid with no interest in Dan, with no interest in anybody. He's slowly losing an internal war - struggling to move on from the past that haunts him and the insomnia that fills his every late hour. His grades are slipping and his friends drifting, even his bullies getting bored of him. Phil has nothing to put his energy into. Nothing to aspire for. Two boys who are fighting completely different battles, their hearts in completely different places. Will they bring out the worst in eachother? The best? Or can they join forces, find a reason to exist, and call it love?

He swallowed, the closeness of our bodies making my heart beat faster and adrenaline course through me. The feeling was neither pleasant nor unpleasant as I looked into his forest green eyes. "How can you make me feel so belittled with only words?" his troubled voice fell into a whisper and he gripped my shoulders. "Is it your goal to stand before me and pull me apart until I am nothing?"
