Little House in the Big Woods is the first installment in the classic Little House on the Prairie series, by Laura Ingalls-Wilder. Also, although it is categorized as 'historical fiction', it is not fiction. I am trying to figure out how to add it to 'classics' as it is not available for me.

"The Count of Monte Cristo" focuses on a man who is wrongfully imprisoned, escapes from jail, acquires a fortune and sets about getting revenge on those responsible for his imprisonment. "Jane Eyre" follows the emotions and experiences of its eponymous character, including her growth to adulthood, and her love for Mr. Rochester, the byronic master of fictitious Thornfield Hall.

"Little Women" follows the lives of four sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March – and is loosely based on the author's childhood experiences with her three sisters.
