In the vampire world, it is well known that The Volturi are the highest of the high, the best of the best. Defying their rules is a death sentence and challenging them is a suicide mission. Need proof? Well, the Romanian coven would be a perfect example. Don't see many of them around nowadays. Alec is one of the most well known and highly feared members of the Italian coven - at least to the supernatural world, but what about to the humans? For one human in particular, she's going to learn just how dangerous his world is. However that's not the problem. A coven, one that had been successfully hidden away for decades, has decided to make their presence known. Not only that, they have decided the Volturi are obsolete. Does this mean civil war? The end of the Volturi? Follow Alec to find out.

"Wait. I want you to keep this." he said and he gently lifted my hair and tied his mother's necklace around my neck. His hand lingered softly at the back of my neck. "I can't take it, Alec. I don't know when - if I'll be back." "My mother had told me that I would give it to the one I love. You have to keep it. Do with it whatever you want. Its yours. Just like my heart. No matter how many miles will divide us, I'll always be thinking of you. Please return. I will keep my word and not follow you, but please come back to me." he whispered softly in my ear. My urge to stay overwhelmed me but I knew I couldn't give in. I stepped away and looked one last time at his piercing burgundy eyes. "Goodbye Alec." And with that I left, leaving behind my only reason for living in this empty cold world. +Twilight Fan Fiction+
