Luke and Ashton used to be best friends. They were inseparable. High school came and they faded apart. Two weeks into their freshman year, they stopped taking altogether. Yet every single night, they texted each other "goodnight." What happens when Ashton just can't handle it anymore? warnings: swearing, depression, suicidal thoughts/actions, self-harm.

After a suicide attempt, Luke finds himself in the hospital, being tended to by a nurse he only knows by as Michael. After a few weeks spent with Michael, Luke slowly starts to fall for him. Even when he moves in with Michael, he struggles to communicate how he feels about him. The only reason he can't tell Michael his feelings is that he can't tell Michael anything. He's mute.
