The world had gone to hell long ago, taken over by the vampire race. In order to keep some sort of peace in our land, the Vampire Lords made a consecutive agreement. The rich and powerful humans could survive just as they had been, untouched by the vampires save for the occasional blood collections, or so they thought In reality, we were all under their control. Castles spread out throughout our land, one landing in each city. Each castle varied in the number of vampires residing there, but all of them carried a Lord. The Lords were the ones in charge in every city, whether we liked it or not. The vampires often roam through the city, making sure that everyone was in order and no one stepped out of line. If you stepped out of line, you died, end of story. Even if the rich were still under their control, their lives were still better than the poor. The poorest lives held a much worse fate. The men were to be put to work as slaves, whether that meant serving a specific vampire, or just building their castles, they were slaves. The women were to be pets. Pets were the lowest rank you could have. They were forced into cages that were too small to stand in with collars around their necks. They spent their lives in pet shops, just waiting for the dreadful day that they'll be bought. They were treated like animals, trained into what their master wanted, and punished if they misbehaved. Those who were lucky enough to live through that, we're to be slaughtered for their blood at age twenty-five in an act to make sure that our population would stay steady. I was born into this world. Born into this world full of blood-sucking monsters. Except, I was one of the lucky ones. Was. It all ended for me when I was 12, when I was taken away from the last bit of hope and family that I had left. Ever since then, I've lived in a cage, just rotting away, waiting, dreading for the day that some monster would make me his. This is my life. I am a pet. ~~~ Cover by: @mshacake

"Come on babe." Evan insists. "Please? For me?" I look around, considering my options. The party has started to die down, and the small lake further into the woods is pretty concealed. "Fine." I sigh, grinning. "Really?" He smirks. "You'll skinny dip with me?" I pause. "Sure." "Great." He says. "I love you Harper." <><><><> Harper is your typical good girl. Shy, quiet, and reserved. So everybody is surprised when she manages to land a guy like Evan. Prom King, quarterback, ladies man. Evan introduces her to a new world, a world of popularity. And Harper tries to be the best girlfriend she can be. But one night, it all falls apart, and Harper is left in a mortifying situation. Naked. Luckily the River boys are around to save the day. After a few pictures of course.

He lit his cigarette, I lit nothing. He drank alcohol, I drank water. He smirked, I smiled. He didn't love me, I didn't love him. He and I together wouldn't last a day. And then the game started... He said he found me intriguing, unique, and interesting because I didn't swoon over him. "You and me Grey, let's play a game. We'll date and in three months time I promise you will fall for me. When you fall in love with me between that time span, I win. If in any way you were to win I'll give up all the alcohol, cigarettes, and player ways." It was a game I wasn't willing to lose, but all games had accidents and consequences. It takes a broken heart to know how to break a heart.

Ona je lovkyňa. On je upír. Ona patrí do rodiny tých najlepších lovcov, preto ju rodičia žiadajú, aby bola ako oni. On je bezcitný a hnusný. Ona sa učí ako loviť. On dosť ľahko stratí nervy. Ona je milá, dobrá ale niekedy jednoducho nedokáže ovládať svoj štipľavý jazyk. On túži po jej krvi. Ona rada kreslí. On tiež. Ona ho musí zabiť. On ju musí zabiť. Čo sa stane, ak sa o sebe navzájom dozvedia, kto sú? Dokážu spolu existovať v jednom svete? Zabijú sa navzájom? This is war! - Toto je vojna. A aj bude! Príbeh je písaný z dvoch pohľadov. Z pohľadu jeho a z pohľadu jej. Ona má svoju časť písanú normálne a on na pravej strane. Alebo inak to môžete tiež rozlišovať aj po odsekoch. Každý odsek je z pohľadu toho druhého. Za najkrajšiu z dcér grófa Lawforda sa vždy považovala tá prostredná. Charlotte Livingstonová o sebe nikdy neuvažovala mierne a preto bolo prekvapením nielen pre spoločnosť ale aj pre ňu svadba jej najstaršej sestry a zasnúbenie tej najmladšej. Len ona zostala na ocot. Keď však príde príležitosť na rýchle zasnúbenie, Charlotte nezaváha. Kapitán Achai Blackwolf toho v živote veľa stratil. Najskôr svoju rodinu a domov a po vážnej nehode takmer aj svoju prácu. Je nútený opustiť Londýn a cestovať na miesto, kde opäť stretá ženu svojich snov. Tá ma však oči pre iného a on musí vyriešiť sériu vlámačiek, aby zamestnal svoje srdce a myseľ.

Príbeh sa ale sústredí na dvoch mladých ľudí, ktorí sa rozhodli, či už vo voľnom čase alebo pre školskú prácu, skúmať starú, vymretú rodinu, ktorej príbeh je plný záhad a nezrovnalostí. Akú súvislosť s prastarým rodom Hanušovcov majú Viktor a Eva? Prečo bolo posledným želaním Viktorovho starého otca venovať sa práve tejto rodine? A prečo je v tom Eva s ním? A vôbec, je naozaj tento rod vymretý?
