We've all heard the tales of good and bad, the tales of innocent deceit and her hero, the tales that despite their nature, show us the beauty in contrast. But it's the tales of pure evil that get swept under the rug. The tales of deception, where cruelty is rewarded. The tales that have you questioning who the real villain of the story is. It is called a Love Curse. Ophelia McQuoid's witch soul is bound inside a towering red crystal, released only once every fifty years for a mere thirty days. The terms of her freedom are deceptively simple: an immortal must trade his life for hers. But curses are never merciful. There is a clause. She must make him fall in love with her-and not just desire, not obsession, not pity. It must be the truest form of love. After two hundred and fifty years of failed attempts, Ophelia has learned a cruel truth: thirty days is not enough time to earn a love deep enough to damn an immortal. Especially when the curse tethers her close to the crystal, a silent prison she can never truly escape. When she awakens again, something is wrong. The crystal is no longer just a vessel-it is draining her life force. If she fails this time, Ophelia will not return in fifty years. She will fade into the glass forever, erased from the world she once knew. And then she meets him. A vampire king-ancient, powerful, arrogant-who is nothing like the careful, distant immortals before him. He is daring. Obnoxious. Infuriatingly attentive. And worst of all, he refuses to let her go. For the first time in centuries, Ophelia's curse may finally be breakable. Or it may destroy them both.

In olden times, there was a legend about men that shifted into wolves. Or was it wolves that turned into men? No one knew for sure, but for a village to have one of these beasts in its possession meant that village had power. They were hard to control, but having one within the village boundaries was enough to deter attackers and would-be conquerors. Naturally, each tribe sought to capture one for its own benefit. It led to actual confrontations and bloody battles with dubious victors, as the beasts were wild and fickle. Eventually, someone thought of the possibility of breeding the beasts to make the subsequent generations docile and obedient. However, it was impossible to capture the opposite sex for such purposes. Because of this, an old wives' tale was born and perpetuated: "A virgin maiden offering shall bring forth obedience from the beast."

Seventeen year old Thea Allen moves from northern Georgia to the small town of Maicoh, Washington. She notices something eerie about the forest that surrounds the small town. With the increasing number of animal attacks, Thea, unknowingly, finds herself in the midst of a war between two wolf packs fighting for control of the territory. Logan Lykos, future Alpha of the Moonrise pack, struggles with the fight against the feral Black Claw pack. After meeting his mate, Thea, he tries to keep her away from the dangers of his pack and the Black Claws by not telling her of his true identity as a werewolf. But what happens when a human boy tries to take his place as Thea's lover? Will he lose her love forever? Will he be able to keep his identity a secret? ○○○ I lean my forehead against her's. "I'm so, so sorry, Thea," I whisper, gently stroking her cheek. "W-wha--" she starts. "Shh..." I cut her off. "Promise me you won't go into the forest, Thea." "How does this have anything to do--" "Promise me! It's not safe and I can't always be there to protect you," I say. "Promise me you will stay with Carter--make sure he treats you right." "I don't understand..." she trails off, gripping my jacket with her small fists. "I know, just promise me." "I promise." With that, I take one last look at her beautiful face--commiting her image to memory--before letting go and following my alpha out the door and out of her life. ___ Author here! This book isn't that great, I don't know why people keep reading it. A MUCH better version will be coming out soon so please, spare me the embarrassment of reading this.

[BOOK 2] NOTE FROM AUTHOR: "I wrote this book in High school, so if you don't like it and find it poorly written, I completely understand" Selene is the abomination to her race; half-human wolf, no one knows her secret except her even more secretive father. If anyone were to find out what she was it could mean in her untimely death. When her father's past comes hunting him down, Selene's forced to live in a house occupied by all-male inhabitants--unmated, bad-mannered, and untamed wolves that obey a temperamental young Alpha. Alpha Lucca wants nothing to do with the she-wolf that clings to his new Beta's back. Hard to ignore the fact that she is aggressive, beautiful and exactly the type of girl he'd want, Lucca is bent on evading her from his thoughts...and his dreams. Selene proves to add to his long list of problems as she spends everyday near his line of sight and out of his reach. He goes out of his way to make it clear that he loathes her, but but not in the way she thinks. Drawn to her like a moth to a flame, Lucca desires to keep her in his dominion, whether she likes to or not. Written: 2012

Street fighting isn't fun. It's a cruel fight with dirty tricks involved. Some do it for money, some do it for fame. I do it for my little sister Ellie. My parents got murdered about 6 years ago and I've been street fighting ever since. My life isn't the hardest of street fighters but only because the crowd admires the red haired teen who fights for survival. But then again we all do in more ways than one. I roam the streets of New York City looking for a fight that means more money so I can feed my little sister. I'm used to the hardship of of life, but that's the way of a street fighter. I made a living and survived on the streets until one day I met another street fighter. Then my whole life changed. For better or for worse I'm not sure. My name is Scarlett Brooks and this is the life of a street fighter. Highest Ranking: #2 in Action
