In the kingdom of Berk, the king has summoned all the eligible ladies in the land ages 16-18 to attend an academy to learn to be a princess. At the end they will attend a week long ball for the prince to select one young woman to become his wife. Astrid has mixed emotions about the news. Nervous because no one has ever met the prince since he is locked away inside the boundaries of the palace, and what if he is a ruthless jerk? But the other half of her is excited for adventure. This is her chance to get away from the repetitive curriculum of her poor village and learn more about who she is and meant to be. Giving up the life at her aunts, Astrid Hofferson moved back to her childhood home and started school. Once again, new life, new actual friends but still the same problems. She hid them very well, if she had to say it herself. That is...until one Henry Haddock came along. Ironically, he was her physics teacher. Letting him find out had been hard. Letting him help her was even more so. Would she really be able to let him in? And if she did, would he be able to pull her away from her bad thoughts and help her be happy? She had no idea. Astrid Hofferson and Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third, meet during a festival held by the fisherman of Tuxpan, Veracruz. It is love at First Sight. Astrid doesn't know Hiccup has a twin brother, Dagur. He tries to rape her but luckily Snotlout, Astrid's best friend. Saves her, but during the fight, Dagur hits his head and falls in a coma. Later, Astrid meets Hiccup again, she runs away from him. He follows and demands an explanation. Unfortanetly even though they straighten out what happened, it is too late for their love, because Hiccup is married to Heather. What does Astrid think of him when she sees him again?
