Aspen Klaremonte's last day is no more interesting or much more eventful than any other. And when the plane she is on malfunctions, it doesn't seem to change much. It doesn't seem to change her or any of the other passengers, save for their hysterical panic and the fact that soon they will probably be dead. They will be sad victims, so-called tragic heroes and legendary characters people will cry over. But for now, they're just the people on the plane. © ray ling aka tasneem [jupitired] all rights reserved [two thousand & fourteen] spiritual #101 [ 12.9.14 ] short story #433 [ 12.9.14 ]

"He reached out for my wrists and held them. "Shaye," he whispered with a broken voice. I looked up at him and he slowly shook his head in defeat before he looked down; his blond locks falling on his forehead. The tears pricked my eyes and I realised why I had this bad feeling the whole day. Suddenly, my heart lumped out of my chest and fell on the ground. Even then it wasn't smashed into pieces, completely. Thus, my heart hit itself against the wall, repeatedly. My chest felt cavernous without the heart filling its designed place. I felt hollow. This house was empty. And I broke into Alain's arms. We were a clumsy mess at my doorway."
