Dean Winchester is nineteen years old and only a year out of high school when he gets sent to the hospital after a argument with his father. Nothing serious occurred, but Dean was required to spend the next few days under observation. While he is spending his time in the hospital of utter boredom, he meets Castiel, a young man the same age as him as a patient of cancer. Forming a quick bond, he begins visiting the boy even when he gets out, but is something more going on?

Castiel and Dean have grown up together since they were four years old. Now the two have become completely different from one another, one being a punk and the other a jock. Yet nothing stops the two from being the best of friends. When a drunken night in a camping tent turns their whole relationship upside down, will their friendship survive? Castiel Novak and Dean Winchester are both boys with troubled pasts. When Dean moves in to town to live with his adoptive father, he meets Castiel at the high school. Can these boys help each other heal? Can they help each other in ways they didn't know they needed help in? Because these two boys could just turn each other's lives upside down. And that is a good thing in this case.

WARNING: I WAS 13-14 WHEN I WROTE THIS, it is decently executed but there ARE major plot holes in the begining and things are sorta rushed in the begining AND MANY spelling errors. Ten years old, that's when it's decided, at midnight the minute you turned ten, a name appears on your right wrist. For Castiel and Dean neither knew wether they would meet their soulmate. Castiel hid his and Dean was ashamed of his. Dean has a secret, he can't get close to anybody in fear of them dying, because the monsters are always there, and they hurt everybody he loves. Castiel doesn't know monsters exist, he refuses to believe they exist, demons, vampires and werewolves, they're all stories, until he's proven wrong, he will alway believe that.

It's 1995, and Castiel's high school years are destined to be difficult: home-schooled until eighth grade, he is awkward, shy, and socially inept. The weird kid with the funny name would rather isolate himself and draw in his sketchbook than deal with the constant bullying he faces every day. Things only get worse in his junior year when he excels in home economics class, leading the captain of the baseball team, Alastair, to start taunting him for being gay. Then new student Dean Winchester arrives at Flour Bluff High School, sharing many of Castiel's classes. Castiel has seen his type before -- handsome, athletic, arrogant, and sure to be the most popular kid in school. But Castiel eventually learns that he and Dean have more in common than he thought, and they form an unlikely friendship.
