*THIS STORY IS UNEDITED & ON HIATUS. Never in my life had I ever dreamt of this moment. Never in my life had I even thought of something like this possibly happening. Although, never in my life had I ever even spoken of what happened behind doors. Not until one door was opened for me. A door that allowed me to escape this horrendous world and into the arms of someone who cared. In an extremely short amount of time, I began to question my reality. Not knowing to believe as I laid on this cold, wet soil, contemplating my life. From there I stared up deeply into the sky, gears twisting and turning to know when my life truly begins. The inner teenaged girl in me pummeled to keep me alive, searching, scavenging for a better life. A better future. Before I could slip away into the darkness I was dragged into. My heart drummed with remorse as angst coursed through my veins. My every being screamed for me to continue forth in the daily flow of life, but my heart pleaded otherwise. I was torn completely in two. But then, there was that exotic drug. My strangest addiction that reeled me in. Recognizing my pain, my anguish. All it took from him was a few words, "Do you need the nurse?" © 2014 All rights reserved. Any act of unauthorized sale, copy or piracy is illegal

For Carter Vance, popularity is a world that she has purposely distanced herself from for many years. Why feed in to the totally superficial, social hierarchy of high school? She's perfectly happy being an outsider. But when she's challenged to prove that anyone can be popular, she puts everything on the line to make a point - that popularity is as fickle and cliché as all the teen movies make it out to be. What she does instead is ruin her true friendships, hurt the only guy who has ever mattered, and dig herself a hole that's much more complicated than the plot of all of her favourite movies combined. {Book 1 in the Teenage Guide series}
