This story is about a girl who realizes who she really is and who really loves and cares for her. Even though her parents are horrible and leave her and her sister stranded, she still holds on. Within her problems she finds herself and gets to know a better her.

15 year old Alice just moved to San Francisco, California because of her fathers' new job. So it's new school and new friends. But because Alice lives close to her new school: Kennington High, she is forced to walk home. A boy who lives next door to Alice decides to be nice and walk her home on her first day. What is once a one day walk, turns into everyday after school. Little did Alice know that one day the boy walked her home was the beginning of the rest of her life.
