{ON HIATUS} Lauren Harris has always been a background character in the colourful story of Fleckney, an idyllic county historically populated by several families of unnaturally attractive and accomplished people, who tend to find themselves partners of equal merit. Lauren has three brothers and a sister who comply with the pattern. Lauren does not. Her occupation is of the most boring kind: she's an accountant for most businesses in the county; she works from the tiny bedroom of her rented cottage, and has no hobbies. As for the looks, the genetic lottery winnings that made her siblings look like Norse demigods - blonde locks, impressive height, wide shoulders, strong long limbs - didn't quite work out in her favour. On the other hand, even if she were a charming dainty thing, her chances for any sort of romance are nil. She's either a childhood friend, or a human equivalent of a piece of furniture for the local males - and no one new ever stays in Fleckney long enough. Except, one day, she accidentally incapacitates a leather-clad, bovver-boot wearing, late-deafened biker travelling through the county; and now he's stuck with her taking care of him while he recovers. What is she going to do when her guilt quickly develops into sincere affection, mixed with a generous dose of lust?

Emilia Arundel is a romance writer. She has zero romantic or sexual history, except for a few awkward semi-dates she's gone to with a man who turned out to be married, broke her heart, and solidified Emilia's negative body image and her many insecurities. When another romance writer puts Emilia in touch with a dominatrix; as apprehensive as she feels, Emilia dares to visit The Top, an elite kink and sex club, where, to her own shock, she's approached by Daniel Oates, a famous restaurateur. As 'safe, sane, and consensual' as his offer is, what can he - a proverbially rich and powerful, mind-bogglingly attractive, worldly, and sexually experienced alpha-male - possibly want from Emilia? **Disclaimer** This book is now part of The Ladies of Letters & Lust series. The first book -"Blind Carnival" - is complete and can be found below on my page. **Disclaimed #2** This book is a part of the multiverse of my stories, and can be read independently... or you can entertain yourself by finding the connections between my other stories. The protagonist of this story is the Emily R. Green, the author of the Oakerton book series, which was adopted into the telly series starring our darling Roy Amaratunga from "The On-Screen Marquess & I." And yes, an Olivia in the prologue IS the Olivia Dane, whose books many of my other protagonists read. Her books play a prominent role in the fate of Imogen Fox, the protagonist of "Official Town Business" posted here, and are enjoyed by Fiona and Dr. Viola Holyoake from the Fleckney series.

Fiona King has lived a sheltered life. Her father and her husband have been making all possible choices for her, always telling her she was too odd and too clueless for the real life. When she's offered a contract to illustrate children's books, will she venture into the world that scares her for the sake of her art, the only thing that feels right and true to her? Frederic 'Axeman' Holyoake has returned from Iraq and doesn't seem to be able to find himself a place in the civilian world. When his brother's wife offers him to stay in her old cottage for a few weeks, he doesn't expect to find himself in the company of a young woman, a talented illustrator of children's books, whom his brother, the owner of a large publishing house, has recently discovered creating her magical paintings of fairies and sprites while working in a village pub with her husband. Will a man with a difficult past find love and purpose sharing a cottage with a woman with a bright but uncertain future?

Olivia Dane is an erotica writer and a widow of 7 years. She isn't at all interested in finding herself a man. When she's forced to go on a blind date, the last thing she expects is to find the perfect man - or to be precise, the perfect guinea pig for her writing experiments. **Disclaimer** This book is now part of The Ladies of Letters & Lust series. The second book -"Romance Test" - is ongoing and updated weekly, every Wednesday. **Disclaimed #2** This story is a part of the multiverse of my stories, and yes, it IS the Olivia Dane, whose books all my other protagonists read. Her books play a prominent role in the fate of Imogen Fox, the protagonist of "Official Town Business" posted here, and are enjoyed by Fiona and Dr. Viola Holyoake from the Fleckney series; so I hope you get a good laugh out of reading this one, my lovelies. * 4 Sample Chapters * When an eccentric old neighbour dies and names Violet March in his will, she is even more surprised than his estranged and spoiled family. To make matters stranger, she learns that all must attend a pretend murder-mystery weekend for any to claim a share of the inheritance. Being a good sport under constant scrutiny and suspicion becomes trickier when she finds herself torn between the romantic attentions of both the deceased's "favourite" grand-nephew and the charming black sheep of the family. Loyalty forces her to favour the former, but when it is the latter who inherits the bulk of the estate, a grave case of mistaken identities is revealed leaving Violet to determine whether pride and an unwillingness to be labelled a gold-digger may stand in the way of the love of a lifetime. *Cover from "Lake Louise, An Alpine Wonderland" by Norman Fraser, which is to the best of my research and knowledge in the Public Domain. *No part of this book may be reproduced or used in any manner without the express written permission of the author.

* 4 Sample Chapters * Inquisitive heir, Charlie Fine's obsession with the truth makes him an excellent fraud investigator, but there's one mystery he's never been able to solve: the identity of the girl who gave him the greatest kiss of his life during a high school game of 7 Minutes In Heaven. Twenty years of experiments attempting to recreate the chemistry of that kiss have gotten him nowhere but frustrated and he's about to resign himself to a life without relationship fireworks when an invitation to his high school reunion steels his resolve to get answers once and for all. Accompanied by his binge-drinking best buddy, Martin, he heads home to grill his lovely suspects only to find his skills better put to use in solving the disappearance of an old friend's father and the sabotaging of a maple farm. Thwarted by a shady detective, distracted by a former classmate's troubled sister, will Charlie be able to find out who done it and who done it best? Will the same suspect hold the answers to both mysteries and will her identity be that of the dream girl he let get away? Who kissed Charlie Fine? You could skip to the end, but you'd miss more bear attacks, booby traps, pickled cabbage, flying cardboard, dry lightning, ghost parrots, creepy crawlers, maple syrup and tea cozies than in any cozy mystery about smooching you've ever read! Please know this story contains mild cursing and three F bombs - one of which is totally necessary. *Cover art uses "On-De-Fence" by Gil Elvgren which is to the best of my knowledge in the public domain. *No part of this story may be reproduced or used in any manner without express written permission by the author. © All Rights Reserved
